So the point here is to not give yourself any room to think about gaming, also location can be a big problem with habits, like I used to game at my parent's house a lot so even if I'm not gaming for 3 months next time I visit them I automatically have an impulse about that but it's much easier to handle it now, the point is to either remove places where you played or think about playing (that can be moving furnitures also etc.) or if you can't do that you have to rewire your habits with some new things what normally is the hardest part but definitly possible

On YouTube I recommend to make a new channel just to follow productive people or something what you find interesting besides gaming, actually I have 3 channels 1 for the trash, that's my old one like 1k subcription, the other one is for productivity and other quality channels and the last one is the really important one what I use to stay focused and only watch the most important channels I like, but if the YouTube algorithm still got you looking at something on this new channels just download a browser addon like Distraction Free YouTube it will remove your home page so you can't see anything just serach for things, I think it's pretty cool, also there are one for Facebook too

So what you can do is remove every sign what your brain detects that has any connection with gaming, like what do you play on PC or console ? if on a console just shut it down and put it away, if it's a PC well that's sucks because it's not only your gaming device also your potential workspace so you have to delete all the games with the icons also the launchers and Discord if you have (I know it can be used for a lot of thing, but mainly that's a gaming hub and you if you have friends there who game, they gonna encourage you to do that) That's not addiction, addiction is something what you can't stop doing, you can stop playing cuz you get bored but you have the urge to play some games, this is called as a hard-wired habit what developed ages ago, you can actually make it gone but it's not easy and requires some time.
